LOW IRON (ULTRA CLEAR) CHANNEL GLASS
Appleton Uniprof™ OW profiled low iron extra clear glass is a design product that has extremely little intrinsic colouring due to the use of raw materials with low iron oxide content during glass production. The look of it and view through it have a clean, pure charm. The colour neutrality of this profiled glass is transferred to all the objects, persons and areas behind the glass they are perceived in their natural colouring despite the ornamental diffusion typical of the product. Also available in a sandblasted version as Appleton Uniprof™ Opal OW.
CHANNEL GLAZING SYSTEM
Appleton Uniprof™ OW offers a translucent linear channel glazing system designed to facilitate the passage of light in both interior and exterior applications. Comprising an extruded perimeter frame and self-supporting cast glass channels with low iron oxide content, it ensures enhanced light and solar transmission. This results in a less green appearance compared to standard glass. Available in Standard Cast, Wave, and Macro textures, Appleton Uniprof™ OW can be further customized with coatings such as Low-E, Antisol, and Amethyst. Additionally, for added privacy, sandblasting options are available.

Thermal Performance
When installed in a double layer, the thermal transmittance coefficient (U-value) is 2.8. For higher thermal insulation requirements, low-e channel glass can be selected.
Advanced Processing
Building upon the foundation of ultra-clear U-shaped glass, additional processing options are available based on requirements. Appleton offers a variety of choices including sandblasting/Opal, wired, coating, and enamelled.
Dimensions
In most cases, Appleton's U glass lengths can meet the requirements of the vast majority of projects. The standard length of U glass in our inventory is 7 meters. Pre-tempered outdoor U glass can reach 8 meters, and for longer lengths, custom options are available upon contacting us.
