The award-winning product from Appleton in the Windoor Polar Star Awards is their Low-e emissive U-shaped Channel glass. Unlike regular U-shaped glass with a double-layer installation achieving a K value of only 2.8W/m2K, which falls short of the required K value of less than 2.0W/m2K in most curtain wall insulation standards, Appleton's Low-e emissive U-shaped glass stands out. It is the first domestic manufacturer to introduce low-e coated U-shaped glass, closely following German U-glass manufacturers globally. Compared to float glass with low-e coatings, Appleton's U-shaped glass uses online coating technology, ensuring high durability with resistance to oxidation and moisture, resulting in enhanced scratch resistance after installation. Additionally, the square resistance of Appleton's Low-e emissive U-shaped glass is less than 25 ohms, with a K value below 2.0W/m2K, meeting the requirements of curtain wall insulation standards and providing relevant inspection reports.

In this evaluation, the judges highly commended Appleton's U-shaped glass, emphasizing its innovation, practicality, and environmental friendliness.
