The Low-E coating layer has the characteristics of high transmission of visible light and high reflection of mid- and far-infrared rays. It can reduce heat entering the room in summer, and increase the insulation rate in winter to reduce heat loss, thereby reducing air-conditioning operating costs.
The product model of Appleton Low-E coated U profiled glass is "Plus 1.7". The Ug value of this type of U channel glass when double glazing can reach 1.8W/m2K, in addition to having a certain effect of blocking ultraviolet rays.

The blocking performance of Low-E U channel glass to infrared rays is shown as below:
It can be seen from the diagram that compared to Ultra Clear channel glass, Low-E channel glass has excellent performance in blocking infrared, especially far-infrared,. This is also the main reason why Low-E channel glass can reduce heat conduction.

The Ug value is determined according to the European standard EN673.
The g value and light transmittance are according to the European standard EN410.
